  2. SYMPTOMS are sometimes seen in a woman but most often in an infant and
  3. consists of a protrusion of the naval.
  4. CAUSES. The naval may look inflated due to weak muscles pulling away and
  5. allowing the abdominal membrane to protrude under the skin.
  6. TREATMENT. Use adhesive tape for support. Surgical repair may be required.
